If they've built a shed in the past they may still have the shed plans which they could let you have. They will also have all the tools that they may allow you to borrow.

Perhaps the best place to look these days is online. There are many websites and online resources that cater for DIY enthusiasts who want to learn online how to do DIY jobs. Not only will you find a good selection of articles and how-to guides but you'll also find some excellent how-to videos courtesy of video sharing sites such as YouTube and Video Jug.

There's also some online websites that specialise in just plans for DIY jobs, in particular shed plans. Websites such as MyShedPlans. They provide free shed plans, usually a standard size shed, but to get the full list of plans you will have to pay for them.
