Faucets that are placed at a lower level where the disabled person can reach them often makes the shower more user friendly. A support bar can also assist the individual who is using the shower.

Additional safety precautions should be made if you add shower doors, they should swing out. Any shower curtains should be clear from the entryway and firmly in place.

Make the drawing for your shower in a detailed sketch with all of the required specifications. Draw in and list additional features that make it easier for the disabled individual to use. After your design is finalized, provide the drawing to a reputable contractor who can transform your design into a tangible product that the disabled individual will appreciate.
